Is the seed coat, or seed skin contains vitamins?

Is the seed coat, or seed  skin contains vitamins?

We are living in a world where most of the people don't use  or try to avoid the seed skin or bran because they are unaware of its nutrient content. We claim we are educated. But our education must focus on the food for healthy living and preventing diseases.

A seed germinates.
Why this is so healthy? The vitamins on skin got into embryo.

All bran or skin of any nut or seed is the vitamin, kept by nature to be healthy when it germinates. While the seed is soaked, the outer cover soaks, and the vitamin dilutes and gets inside the seed to nourish the embryo. Then the young shoot comes out strong.

The brown of copra, bran of rice, skin of peanut, skin of black gram ( uzhunnu), skin of cashew etc are all multivitamins, minerals and antioxidants.  The new generation born after 1950's who got degrees from the newly started multiple colleges want everything skinless. When they become   above 40 years old almost 75- 90 % become diabetic or cancerous in Kerala. Let us learn the wisdom from our old people and science of seed. We get university degree without learning essentials from ‘Universe’.

Look at the following pictures the nuts or seeds with skin.

So the seed skin contains, fiber, B Complex vitamins, anti-oxidants, minerals etc. We always go for the peeled seeds. Let us change it. Be the pioneer to change this world. If you want to avoid, diabetes, cancer etc, start eating the seed with skin today. Next time while shopping go for the seeds or nuts with skin.

Remember we hold the key for our health. We can prevent cancer, diabetes and other diseases.  Let us share this knowledge to our friends and community.
